Alternative and Grunge Music

       Alternative and Grunge music was a big change from the 80's. This is the type of music that a lot of people were dying for in previous years, while on overload from 80's pop. The 90's was the biggest era for alternative music, and if you listen to an alternative radio station today, the majority of the songs will be from the 90's.

          Alternative and grunge music became wildly popular in the 1990s. They consist of a mix of Britpop, gothic rock, indie pop, and indie rock. Bands such as R.E.M.,The Cure, Jane's Addiction, Nirvana, Radiohead, and The White Stripes have made a name for themselves in Alternative music, and continued to be worshipped today.
